Happy week before Christmas! Is everyone ready? We have been working hard on decorating our classroom for the holidays and of course Ruby! Have you all seen her around? She is so silly! This week we started off with a super cool science project with Mr. Mike on discovering everyday objects that may or may not float. With Mr. John this week we learned about the winter solstice and created some super cool paper plate projects. We also made Santa faces using Ritz crackers, celery, cottage cheese, and pepperoni. Super yum! Be sure to check with your teachers to make sure you are signed up for winter break.

First grade had a Wonderful week. Ruby came to visit and had marshmallows, chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, popcorn, and candy canes. She also did back flips and hung out on our holiday chain decoration. She is so silly!! This week we started off with a super cool project with Mr. Mike. First graders were asked to describe “If I lived in a snow globe”. Be sure to check out our bulletin board in the hall way. We then went on to make Chocolate Snowman Stirrers with Mr. John. Super yummy treats, we hope everyone enjoyed them. To close out the week in first grade we worked on a science experiment with Ms. Kristen were we discovered how polar bears can stay warm in such cold environments. We used gloves, Crisco, water, and ice. We also created stories about polar bears. Next week be on the lookout for Winter Solstice projects and of course more holiday decorating. Have a great weekend everyone! edit. Mr. Mike cooked some awesome yummy cookies this week! The first graders used oats, banana, honey, and chocolate chips to make some delicious cookies!
