Where the wild things are creations

This week we discussed 2d art using "dry" materials. We discussed the book "Where the wild things are" and students created their own monsters using construction paper, pipe cleaners, and Pom poms. We also colored various monsters from the story and the students created their own scenery/ background on where their wild things were (bedroom, under the bed, closet, at the mall, etc.) Also we created collages from magazines and the students described to the class the items, letters, and pictures that they chose to describe themselves. Please look out for 2d art with wet materials coming up this week! Lots of painting projects!! So exciting! Have a great weekend everyone! :-)
